What does the Bible say about accountability? Scripture teaches that we will be held accountable before God and that we are meant as brothers and sisters in Christ to hold each other accountable on earth for our words and actions. Being accountable means being willing to explain your actions with honesty and openness. We will one day stand before God and will be held accountable for how we lived.
We are not meant to live as islands. Each one of us should have friends who can help us make the right decisions and restore when we've made wrong ones. We each have blind spots that we need help seeing. Pride and temptation can keep us from seeing the truth. It is when we rely on others for guidance and wisdom that we find the strength to be holy! Let's read what the Bible has to say about accountability and begin applying it to our own lives - for the glory of God.
